Tomorrow
—Tomorrow ... always tomorrow
Tomorrow, tomorrow
Always tomorrow.
Tomorrow, I will visit you
Tomorrow, we will have coffee
Tomorrow, is your birthday
Tomorrow.
Tomorrow, is the future
Tomorrow, is for you and me
Tomorrow, brings hope and fear and change
Tomorrow, is procrastination
Tomorrow, is one day closer to death
Tomorrow.
Tomorrow, yes, tomorrow, I will still love you
Tomorrow, I will bring you flowers: sunflowers are your favourite
Tomorrow, we will celebrate your birthday
Tomorrow.
Today, I will be here, here where I feel safe, and think of you
See you soon ... Love Tomorrow.

We Pray For Rain
—Last night the weatherman predicted some relief. As most of us know by now they are definitely not always correct with their calculated predictions. In my opinion they are never correct. Maybe that’s why they call it weather predictions. But that’s not what I'm here to write about.
As usual I'm up and ready for gym very early, I mean very early. At this hour of time it is still pitch black outside and most people, birds and dogs are still far off in dreamland (wading through the good the bad and the ugly). At the gym, the owner and I will have a few quick words, then it’s off to sweat and heavy breathing. This is my quiet time (unless somebody pitches up early and I have to listen to their cyclic existence) where I think, get balanced and plan for the beautiful day ahead. This is where liberation gets wings.
The one thing that we had a chat about this morning, was the weather, more specific the rain. The heat is just gnawing away at us. ‘I hope it rains today’, he utters in a calm voice, ‘we surely can do with some serious relief’. I just smiled and further expressed my view ... For the past few months we haven't had any significant rain. Normally just a quick lick, then it's over.
About 30 minutes into my session, the place suddenly fills up with enthusiastic new faces. All donned with shiny new gear from top to bottom, even the white on those towels hurt your eyes. Did they arrive to fulfil their contractual agreement for the day, or do they secretly yearn for what’s on the glossy front-page. Only time will be the judge. From my perched-static-exercise-bike-view I can see the whole place. As time slowly creeps forward (in here it does), their faces start—praying for rain.

Wings
—Next time you're outside appreciating the night sky. Turn your head straight upwards, towards the stars, and be on the lookout for Wings. Stealthily moving through the cool upper air, just underneath the bright and shiny pinholes. You will track them winged in large flocks, pushing forward, circumnavigating the globe, for reasons I will never understand. Maybe you do?
