Mossel Bay's tenacious aquatic-surfer-boys

This is most probably what surfing is about. In and out you glide on your surfboard. Some waves take you out all the way, others not. Sometimes the waves will test your patience, making you wait and wait for the perfect one and then—too late!
Surfing may take a lot (out of you); in return: immense satisfaction.

Next to the ocean people sit and admire these young ones in the clear blue water (others just pass by without even noticing their numerous efforts). How they time themselves perfectly and then, within a blink of an eye they stand firm and agile, using every ounce of energy these waves emit.

On top, it is absolute freedom (I can only assume, never surfed before), the human spirit and surfboard are now one and in control, but for a short while only. On top of these amazing waves, acrobatics fill the immediate surroundings. Surfers seem compelled to out perform each other, although it is not always easy. Hastily these huge waves move forward until they are sapped of all their energy—breaking on the rocks. Before you know it these tenacious aquatic-surfer-boys paddle back on their trusted surfboards to start the exercise all over again.

There is a life lesson to be learned: Life is hard and unsatisfactory, but these Mossel Bay Super Surfers teach us to never give up. Wave after wave they keep trying until the day they can score a perfect ten. But until that day, they will be back day after day, striving for perfection and enjoying every moment of it.
